Bird-Friendly Building Design Guidelines (Voluntary)
- In collaboration with the American Bird Conservancy (ABC) on the creation of Bird-Friendly Building Design, this manual for Bird-Friendly Building Design gives architects, landscape designers, engineers, glass technicians, developers, building managers, city, state, and federal officials, and the public valuable information on bird collisions and glass.
- This document works in compliance with “green" sustainable building movement, and its strategies are meant to complement the national LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating system.
- The guidelines also suggest ways to retrofit existing buildings.
