In collaboration with the American Bird Conservancy (ABC) on the creation of Bird-Friendly Building Design, this manual for Bird-Friendly Building Design gives architects, landscape designers, engineers, glass technicians, developers, building managers, city, state, and federal officials, and the public valuable information on bird collisions and glass.
This document works in compliance with “green" sustainable building movement, and its strategies are meant to complement the national LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating system.
The guidelines also suggest ways to retrofit existing buildings.
