The Bird-Friendly Buildings Act Bill S4204A (Voluntary)
- The "bird-friendly building council act" was enacted in 2012 to promote the use of bird-friendly building materials and design features in buildings.
- The council was created to research the magnitude of problems facing birds colliding with buildings, and was tasked with identifying the strategies, technologies, and concepts that could reduce or eliminate bird mortality from building collisions.
- Stimulate public awareness of bird fatalities and provide collision prevention strategies.
